I knew something was up with me. My body ached and I felt like I was on an emotional rollercoaster. I had a face full of Rosacea and I felt like a firecracker just about to go off.
I worked harder to keep my mind busy on my work and not on how I felt on the inside and sadly this lifestyle was what ground me down to seek help and start to heal.
My suffering showed up in the form of Rosacea. For others it might be back pain, digestive problems, insomnia, overeating, under eating, anxiety, depression, low-self esteem, low confidence. Or maybe just feeling 'is this all there is to life'?
For me, my suffering was the reason for me embracing change. My face glowed red, and my body pain was unbearable. I felt so unsatisfied in all aspects of my life. Looking back, I was so out of tune with myself and how I wanted to live my life that my work success and popularity was the only thing getting me out of bed in the morning. A pretty rubbish way to live.
All my suffering was my bodies signals telling me I needed to take notice of myself. The body is a fascinating miracle that we all get to live in, in this lifetime. Life pressures can push us in to desensitising from trauma, past experiences or generally not giving a shit about ourselves and starts to show up for us in the shape of pain, illness, mind control or in my case Rosacea.
My wake up call was the start of a beautiful love affair with myself and the only remedy for my healing. Spending hours and years dedicating time to myself through yoga, breathing and writing was my cure. As time passed my Rosacea started to fade, my body pain began to ease. I became enthusiastic about living and felt the clarity of how I wanted to live my life became my driving force into fulfilling my dreams that I had stuffed away deep into my layers.
So you see my suffering showed me my route home. It was showing up in my body and on my face for a reason. To get to take action to reveal my truth and guide me back onto my path. Up-leveling my confidence and courage to own my Life.
Dedicating time to take notice of how you feel from the inside out is paramount to live a happy, healthy life. We must make getting to know self a priority. Your body, your rented space for this lifetime is doing all it can to keep you living a balanced life and away from suffering. The symptoms that arise are your nudges and warning signs that something in you needs attention. They are prompting you to show up for yourself.
Take note and take action to heal release and live a happy, healthy, vibrant life.
